I enjoyed the atmosphere; it was more spacious than I expected. The Japanese Breakfast Set was a highlight - both healthy and hearty. The gyu-don was interesting , with shirasu (dried small silvery-white fish) adding a unique taste. I think I like the sweeter style of don more. The Soufflé Pancake was soft and fluffy. It's good but more like a cake than a pancake to me. Overall, I would like to go back and try other dishes.

The indoor and outdoor seating are both stunning. It is very spacious which is perfect for big groups. The food is amazing and the portions are a lot bigger than I had expected. For appetizers, the hot honey yuzu salad was the winner - it was refreshing, light and crunchy. For entrees, if you like sweets then get the pancake. If you like something savory, then the sandos do not disappoint!

Wow, this place blew my mind. First, our hostess, Enishia (sorry about misspelling, the beautiful black hostess with the warm smile found the four of us a great table seat and we simply walked in. She was warm and gracious even on our way out and checked to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. All dishes were so delicious and flavorful that our group had a hard time deciding what we liked best. The pork is so tender and paired nicely with the mustard. The tuna was so fresh with a nice crunchy coating but soft tender middle. Wrapped in the nori, it all came together perfectly. I didn't get our servers name but she was also amazing! She was Asian with glasses and short hair and literally helping everyone. Though it was so busy, she took such good care of us and instinct fully knew when we needed something. One of my favorite places I have eaten at lately!

Overall we had a very pleasant experience. Certain things were amazing and others were just okay. Atmosphere: we (2people) did not have a reservation on a Thursday night but were still able to grab a seat at the bar (at 7:45pm). The outside is stylized in a traditionally Japanese sense. The inside aesthetic is a mix of American modern x Japanese. This is a great place for a date night! Service: the bartender was very attentive to us! We even forgot one of our bags at the bar as we were walking out and he ran out to give it to us. Food: the food was good but not amazing. We ordered the chicken meatball, hangar steak, tuna sashimi, hot honey gem salad, ribs, and cucumbers. The ribs and chicken meatball were amazing! So full of flavor. And the ribs practically fell off of the bone. The steak, tuna, and cucumbers were okay but didn't blow me away. The salad was on the sweeter side, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the dressing was definitely missing something. It lacked depth. Rule of Thirds is worth visiting but is maybe a little overpriced for what it is. That being said, I will be back.
